Amazon.com Product Description An easy, affordable way to get a great cardiovascular workout at home regardless of the weather or time of day, the Stamina InMotion II treadmill is a great choice for home workout enthusiasts. The treadmill is self-powered, meaning you set your own workout pace rather than relying on a motor. Not only is this an energy-efficient means of staying in shape, but it's also extremely quiet, so you can easily watch low-volume TV shows or listen to music while running without disturbing others. The InMotion II also offers a 42-inch-long walking/running deck that accommodates both longer and shorter strides, along with dual-weighted flywheels that keep the deck running smoothly. And users will love the multi-function, battery-operated monitor, which tracks distance, workout time, speed, and calories burned. Perhaps most importantly for crowded homes, the InMotion II folds up and stores easily in a closet or garage. Other details include a textured, non-slip walking/running surface; foam-padded front and side rails; a heavy-duty steel frame; a pair of incline positions (8 and 10 degrees); skid-resistant rubber floor protectors to maximize stability; and a weight capacity of 250 pounds. The InMotion II--which doesn't require an electrical outlet, so you can put it just about anywhere--measures 46.5 by 43.5 by 26 inches (W x H x D) when fully assembled and weighs 56 pounds. It's also backed by a one-year warranty on the frame and a 90-day warranty on parts. About Treadmills Walking is still considered one of the most beneficial cardiovascular exercises for people of all ages, body types, and fitness levels. As a fundamental form of aerobic training, walking has numerous physical benefits for the heart, lungs, and circulatory system, while also increasing muscle tone and burning fat calories. Treadmills provide a convenient way to regularly exercise in all weather conditions in the comfort and safety of your own home. From beginners just starting an exercise regimen to advanced athletes looking to maintain their fitness level, anyone interested in getting and staying in shape can benefit greatly from regular use of a treadmill. Treadmills allow you to determine the pace, distance, and complexity of the workout based on your needs, all while watching television, talking on the telephone, or reading a magazine. Much easier on sensitive joints like the knees and hips, treadmill walking and running surfaces are typically long, padded platforms that allow ample room for a long stride and comfortable, low-impact walk or jog without the harsh contact of a concrete surface. While many different types, styles, and price ranges of treadmills exist, many of them offer unique features like a fold-up design for easy storage, an electronic display monitor showing speed, distance, workout time, incline level, and burned calories, and EKG grip pulses to monitor the heart rate while exercising. Regardless of the simple to complex features you may choose, treadmills offer an array of aerobic exercise opportunities that will provide long-lasting beneficial cardiovascular results without a commute to the gym or a jog in the rain.

Good Buy February 8, 2008 16 out of 16 found this review helpful
This was a great purchase! I enjoy doing my workouts on a treadmill, but can't afford to buy a treadmill that costs several hundred dollars. The price was perfect, assembly was easy, and it is a great workout. You do have to work a little harder to get and keep the belt moving because it is a manual, but that makes the workout even better. It takes some practice to get used to the manual belt and to figure out how to keep your steps evenly paced, but after about 5 minutes you are into the groove. The size is nice, too. The treadmill folds up and stores nicely. The belt is the perfect size for my 5'6'' stride. My husband is 6'3'' but as long as he keeps the start of his stride at the very front of the belt, he can get a great workout, too. Obviously, I am very pleased with this purchase!
Works great! February 24, 2008 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
Fast Delivery. Easy set up. Works really well. I thought it'd be a lot quieter then it is, but it's definitely quieter then any of the motored ones.
Wonderful for the price! March 11, 2008 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I've had this treadmill for about 3-4 months now, and wow. It's great, easy to store and move and works well. I use it while watching TV in my bedroom. I've already lost 20lbs! If you don't feel like going to the gym that day, use this manual treadmill instead! It's a great price and a great product. I'm 24 and female and put the treadmill together on my own in about 30 minutes. Very nice product! Highly recommended!
Simply simple April 15, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Had a little trouble getting the darn thing, was sent the first time without the hardware, but as usual Amazon handled the whole problem with no problems had the bad one picked up the new one delivered. It calls for two people to put it together but I did it by myself....and I'm a 60+ female. Works very well. I'm very pleased with it, for the money you can't beat it.
Satisfied my needs. June 7, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I think this is the first time I have written a product review. I am very pleased with my purchase. I have been wanting to purchase a treadmill for a long time, but $1k just seemed to be too much for a student budget, plus, the hours that I have to exersize are usually early in the morning or later at night. Considering the dangers of working out alone in the dark outside, I have been puzzled as to what to do. I didn't want to buy a gym membership and get locked into paying something for 2 years (when moving is coming up in my future)and it would be difficult to motivate myself to drive there, etc. So when I found out about the manual treadmill, I jumped at the chance to own it at a decent price. I ordred the Stamina InMotion II and have used it a number of times. I set it up alone and have enjoyed the rigors of using it. It has built my endurance and helped me begin to lose weight I have carried for years. I highly recommend it to anyone who desires to get into shape or keep in shape. There is only one thing that is even close to being a bad thing about this treadmill, and that is on one of the handles, the holes for a screw didn't align to where it could be screwed in place. It doesn't bother me, though, since it is in a place that little to no pressure is being placed...it is probably just a factory defect on my piece alone, so I don't think it should be a reason not to purchase this treadmill.
